USEFUL INFO

PUBLIC LIABILITY

Employers, local authorities and the like increasingly require written evidence that musicians have public liability insurance before they can perform. Public liability insurance (PLI) is provided by the Musicians’ Union to its members to a limit of indemnity of £10 million per individual member. FAQs

CAN YOU PLAY OUTSIDE?

I am happy to play outside with a ‘common sense’ approach to the weather. If it looks like
there might be incumbent weather conditions, I require either a robust and waterproof cover or an alternative plan to play inside. If you wish to
organise an outdoor session, please inform me of this during the booking process.

HOW LONG DO YOU PLAY FOR?

My standard session is either a 1.5-hour session straight through (which is ideal for most wedding drinks receptions) or 2 x 45-minute sets with a short break in the middle

WHAT ABOUT POWER?

I require just one power supply. 1 x wall socket or power supply from generator/extension
cable if outside.

PAYMENT PROCESS

A 50% down payment is accepted to confirm the date. Full payment can be invoiced at any time to suit you until the week prior to your event date.

WHEN WILL YOU ARRIVE?

I will generally arrive approximately 1 hour ahead of my start time. If you have a particular
‘load in’ requirement, whether that be a time slot or flights of stairs / difficult access etc,
please do let me know during the booking process.

CAN YOU PLAY DURING OUR CEREMONY?

I often play during bridal entry, a couple during the signing of the register, and then perhaps one more song as the bride and groom exit the ceremony. This is done on a quote-by-quote basis and depends on the particular song requests, all of which can be discussed.
