Ryan & Lydia WEDDING at mickleton hills
What a fabulous day for a wedding…. in the end! We were right up to the wire with the rain once again but 5 minutes before the bride and groom arrived at Mickleton Hills Farm Wedding Venue, the clouds parted and I was able to move the piano to just inside the main doors, ready for the chosen song for the arrival of the happy couple.
Guests lined up ready for the confetti line when Lydia and Ryan arrived in their wedding car. As soon as the doors opened, there was a huge cheer from family and friends as I played their arrival track ‘Marry You’ by Bruno Mars for their walk-in. It worked perfectly! Bride and Groom were a little emotional and these things are catchy….. that and the fact that I am completely prone to emotional instability during such moments made it a challenge! Still, we made it through and it was a total success.
The remainder of the drinks reception was an absolute pleasure for me to throw in a couple of requests whilst guests enjoyed drinks both inside and outside the gorgeous wedding barns. David and his team are always on top form and each event I attend at Mickleton Hills is run with both precision and a friendly can-do attitude.
The confetti ponies were an absolute highlight and The Bay Tree flowers were stunning. The wedding cake was very impressive and, perhaps the most important, Lydia’s dress was sensational.
I’ve had lovely feedback from Lydia and Ryan, who both looked amazing on the day and look forward to seeing them again soon somewhere around The Cotswolds!
